Ever since I could remember I wanted to be somewhere else; The Netherlands, to be specific. I guess that is part of what travel is about, going somewhere different, better, more exciting… somewhere more YOU, and sometimes you just intuitively know where your heart wants you to be. At 5 years old I had big plans.

Traveling, giving your eyes new things to look at, your brain new things to think about, is the best part of life. I have insatiable wanderlust and a very active hungry brain and I do so adore talking to strangers!

Here you will not find your standard jolly fresh folksy travel tips and tricks articles. That’s just too boring. I hope to fill this space with stories, anecdotes, fun stuff, interesting stuff, strange stuff… and also useful stuff. The point is to tell stories and after 25+ years of solo travel, I have quite a few.
